Susan Kushner Resnick: September 2008 Archives
The editor at the University of Nebraska Press has the whole book. I have no idea when it will be in print. All I know is that the editor will ask me to make changes (she says not many), and some "outside reader" will take a look at it. This is apparently standard practice with University presses. Then I'll provide them with photos that I've taken or that Bearcreek folks have given me, acknowledgments, maybe a mining glossary and other detail stuff. Somewhere in there, someone designs the cover. Can you tell that I don't enjoy not being in control of the project? It's kind of like sending your child to overnight camp or college - my baby is out of my hands. I just hope they take good care of her until I get her back again.
