Susan --- Many thanks again for continuing to shine a light on this tragedy. We all need to try and keep the voices alive, and keep the light shining on what is a preventable tragedy. Again. I'm sure you looked to the history of other massive mining disasters in just West Virginia's history when you wrote your book. If not, please do. We need to keep this conversation going and keep the pressure on for real change: the laws exist, now let's enforce them.

There are clear patterns of owner abuses and negligence, as well as patterns of lawmakers turning a blind eye. It needs to stop.
