Nose, eye, ear, fluff: All you need to be a dog.

New York doesn’t have this. (photo by Max Resnick)

I’m home from my New York literary field trip where I observed the following:

1) The old ladies there are fierce; a poem will be written about this.

2) Neil Patrick Harris, sitting in a car that was pulling out of the Kelly Live studio, is very skinny.

3) A good percentage of the restaurants I patronized smelled like algae.

4) Everyone’s wearing flats. Lots of people have intentional gray streaks in the front of their heads. One of these trends is good.

More on New York tomorrow. Tonight, there’s a wet nose I must attend to.

  1. The fine skills of a journalist never sleep. Can’t wait to hear about the old ladies.
